The University of Western Ontario campus sprawls over 155 hectares along the banks of the Thames River in London, Ontario. Located two hours west of Toronto, London is a city of 432,000 people. Founded in 1878, the first Western graduates earned their degrees in 1883. Presently, Western holds close to 200 international research agreements.
