Custom Essay Writing Toronto - Tyndale University College
Tyndale University College and Seminary was founded in 1894 as the Toronto Bible Training School, under the supervision of the Baptist Congregation. For the first several years, courses were held in a local church. It was Canada's first permanent Bible school, and only the third in North America. During the 1940s, the Toronto Bible College, as it was then known, tread a careful line between modernism and fundamentalism, gaining it a wide appeal among mainstream and evangelical groups alike.
In the 1960s, Toronto Bible College merged with the London (Ontario) College of Bible and Missions, and in the 1980s it received authority to begin granting graduate degrees. After a financial crisis in 1995, the school was renamed the Tyndale College and Seminary, adding "University" to its title in 2003, under the authority of the provincial government.
